Policy
On minerals coming from conflict areas

Sensitron Srl would like to inform you that on 17 May 2017, Regulation (EU) 2017/821 was published, which establishes supply chain due diligence obligations for EU importers of tin, tantalum, tungsten and the minerals originating in conflict or high-risk zones.

This is an Act which, among other points, regulates and prevents trade in ‘conflict minerals’ (Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten and Gold), the proceeds of which finance armed conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighbouring countries.

The above-mentioned Law requires all companies marketing products in the European market to report to the competent control bodies, the use of such minerals from the Democratic Republic of Congo or neighbouring countries.

In this regard, Sensitron Srl declares that the die-cast aluminium and the tin used in the soldering process of electronic boards do not come from conflict zones. Our raw materials do not contain the other materials (Tantalum, Tungsten and Gold). Consequently, we can guarantee compliance with Regulation (EU) 2017/821.
